Postby Mayfly » Mon Feb 22, 2010 5:35 pm

Wedgy sent me this link today because someone in his office was on the flight - pleased it turned out ok in the end. It could have been really nasty!

Good job they noticed before they got too far from a runway.

If they had run out of fuel half way back they could have been stranded up there for hours :o)

Look on the bright side.........
It wasn't piloted by the RNZAF..........
They'd have done a wing over and put it straight back down!!!
Now that would have spilt the in flight drinkies wouldn't it!! =)) =)) =)) =))

Wedgy's got an office Things are looking up =)) =)) =)) .
On a serious note that would not have been fun looking out the window and seing that happen .but pray tell how did the pilot look out and see it on take off he would be on the other side of the cockpt wouldn't he ? or one of them noticed the fuel guages falling rapidly and the copilot saw it .not being picky but the comment puzzled me

Aparently on the delayed return flight the next day, as they flew over Paris they were escorted out of French airspace by a Mirage Fighter :-o
