Just asked the question Mags, yes it was practised - made it more difficult to control the speed but wasn't too much of a problem

He is, of course absolutely right re: uni or joining the RAF (whilst we still have one) THE best place to learn and we do it so well.
It is far too late for me but if he would like to stretch his powers I obviously would be the prime candidate (I don't know why, I just am ok) as a student. He can think of me as Luke Skywalker and himself as the Grand Master (as we all know he is).
