Weather looks just about perfect for the launch [which makes a change] ;)


Scrolling Edits .
T -9 minutes and holding .
Problem with the ranges computers may cause a scrub ~x(
They're going to go ahead and see if the prob is sorted by a added T -5 Minutes hold , if it hasn't it will be scrubbed .
Holding for 2 minutes .
Go for launch \:D/
T -5 mins and counting .
T -3 mins .
T -1 min .
Launched on sky :))

Heres one , doesn't show the foam strike as that was later in the launch .

Here , foam strike at 4:09 .

Looks like they may get away with it as it seems to have hit a support first which took most of the energy .

The foam strike didn't look too bad on there although you can't really see much.

You may have noticed some foam loss during Discovery's launch. We are are looking into it with our usual rigor, but it appears to have happened after the window of concern. The loss was consistent with cryopumping which is understood and has been seen before. We will keep you updated with our findings.

If all goes to plan , she will be landing at KSC at 17:00 GMT tomorrow [de orbit burn is at 16:00 GMT] ;)
