A couple of old 1-11s

I do like the old 1-11, but they are getting harder to find... saw these two the other day on my travels:

Looking a bit worse for wear!

Interesting how much shorter and fatter the one without the livery stripe looks (or is it just me?).

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

If any of you are near The Museum of Flight at East Fortune, they have an well maintained example of a One-Eleven 510ED registration G-AVMO. They organise walk through tours and it is nice to see an aircraft that was built when flying was a pleasure.

I would presume that the aircraft on the left is the stretched 500 version and that on the right is an original 200! ;)
