Brigg Garden centre was treated to a Tornado passing by at around 200(ish) feet this afternoon brilliant

But no camera

Stepped outside the house this morning and heard a jet, so I looked around and saw it was a VC-10 with lots of smoke behind it!

Just found out that it was a Gulfstream 3 - which is noisy and smoky too

I don't get excited about Civvys unless Im flying in them

Easy mistake, when you're at least 4 miles away and all you can go on is a T tailed aircraft trailing lots of smoke!

Someone has posted that an AWAC aircraft has been circling round Holbeach for about 13 or 14 times and wondered what it was doing. Is there any training out that way today?

It was on the news as I was uploading the photo. They didn't say what it was doing but then again they wouldn't

If it is they managed to fix it in time for the weekend and then the fault has returned this morning!

Nice to see that according to your theory the tankers must be able to keep them filled up!

Passed over my house twice and is now heading back to Waddington. (Photos taken but not sure how good they are)

There are very often circular contrails in that direction - I think today just had the right atmospheric conditions for them to be visible for quite a distance. The wind must have also been quiet weak for them to stay so close for a long time.

Still going round, he's to the south of Peterborough at 13:10 and the trail is only lasting for about 5 miles!
