Quantas A380 over Salisbury Hall at 11:38 this morning

Two VERY high F-15's, in close formation, followed 10 minutes later by two Pumas. All heading NW over SW Leicestershire

Hi.
During the war, my father was a spotter for the docks and railway board. If there was an air raid, work carried on and there were spotting stations all over Grimsby, anything suspicious, bells were rung all over the docks and marshalling yards and all took cover, another bell said all clear and work was resumed. I used to look at all of dads spotting mags and soon knew all of the aircraft.

Black Hawk T1 doing a practice display over Wittering while an AWACS is holding a racetrack pattern over Peterborough!

Lovely weather!

And now an Apache has joined the circuit, two minutes after the Hawk departed to the N/E!

And another Apache!

Wonder if I could see that AWACS from Market Harborough. Could see something to the east flying in circles

SIMPLY put - YES!

When they pull in to a position and stay in the cold damp air, the engines cause contrails that can be seen for many many miles!

Lancaster Bomber flew past my house heading towards Spalding a couple of minutes ago

She sounded very good. Power put on as it reached my house, glorious sound

She landed with the Left Outer Engine stopped. Happened at 16:22 whilst over my house

Just to add to that, it was #1 engine and they tried several attempts to re start it in the air but it was seized but I don't know enough about engines to understand what they were saying to the BBMF engineer in the tower. In the end she landed perfectly on 3 engines.
I have most of the conversation on video but I don't feel right about posting it in the public part of you tube, so if anyone wants to hear the parts that I picked up I will private it so you need the link to view it and post the link here.

Also this morning two Apache's into Waddington.

Weston on the Greens Skyservant HA-ACO nearly landed on my van whilst I was driving along Akeman Street on the north side of the airfield at 15:32 this afternoon

Glad the Lanc got down OK and safely - one out is manageable on one side but two is a bit more of a challange having read Jack Curries Lancaster Target.

Saw a C-17 low this morning, possibly approaching Bournemouth.

Plus walking home from school I heard the rumble a jet taking off from Bournemouth, whilst this happens everyday and it was probably a boring 737 (or other airliner) it put a smile on my face
