Here's a piece of history regarding the Lockheed
Electra Turboprop of 50s, 60s and beyond. Very
similar to your Vickers Viscount....

Even though they were intended as a mid-range
aircraft, KLM flew them (with mods) trans-pond
for a while.

In the Lockheed Constellation, every single "station"
in the monocoque was unique. With the Electra,
they were something like 80% identical. A lesson
learned (from Douglas).

US Navy still flies them (P-3 Orions) as sub hunters.
