XH558 - Bournemouth 22nd

Postby Spitfire » Wed Aug 12, 2009 1:04 pm

Looks like Mrs S and I will be staying just outside Bournemouth at Ringwood from 21st to 23rd having a post wedding recovery weekend all to ourselves..... didn't realise it was Bournemouth Air Show that weekend (oh yes I did :)) )...........

So I might get to see XH558 - at last - any news on her appearance there - ETAs and the like would be much appreciated ;)

Come and see us on the stand - we're there Thursday to Sunday! Some of the aircrew not flying that weekend are making guest appearances (well, eating biscuits, drinking coffee and the odd bit of signing!). :D

Easy - I was 'in' to aircraft before she was 'committed' - so what you see is what you get :D Plus the fact that deep down she really wants to see XH too ;) :p

If you happen to be taking your time on the slow boat to Bournemouth, you should see '558 display at Dawlish on the Thursday... ;)

In fact, I'm led to believe that she'll be visible at all points along the coast between Bournemouth and Dawlish if the flight plan comes together! :ymapplause:

If she's coming down the coast from Dawlish i'll definately see her from the roof at work \:D/
If anyone knows what time I might even manage to get to the overcliff & back in my coffee break.........

Edit...........4pm-ish on the way to Dawlish :)

I get as much pleasure seeing her flyby as I do from seeing her at an airshow - it's feels as if she flys by just for me :D
