All yours Spitfire.

SHORT SHETLAND - High-speed very long-range heavily-armed reconnaissance flying-boat Short S.35 Shetland designed to OR.91 in compliance with Specification R. 14/40. Two prototypes ordered after selection of Short design in favour of competing Saro S.41, and Saro made responsible for detail design and manufacture of wing. At time of first flight on December 14, 1944, prototype DX166 was largest British aircraft to have flown. Powered by four 2,400 hp Bristol Centaurus VII engines, the Shetland had a crew of 11 and was to be armed with nose, dorsal and tail turrets each carrying a pair of 0.50-in (12.7-mm) guns; the bomb-load was to be 18,000 Ib (8,165 kg). The war ended before completion of the second prototype.

Max speed, 263 mph (424 km/h). Gross weight, 125,000 Ib (56,700 kg). Span, 150ft 4 in (46.75 m). Length, 110 ft 0 in (33.5 m).
