I was there too!
Turnout was around 120-150 people: down on last year, but more than in 2008. Most of the meeting was dedicated (naturally!) to Club business - committee changes, fundraising success in 2009, accounts, plans for the year, long session and debate about the proposed revisions to the Club constitution (presented and chaired by me - you didn't miss much!) and a few resolutions submitted by the membership.
Nobody from the Trust attended except Colin Marshall - Robert, Andrew, Mike and Michael all gave their apologies.
Martin W gave a short speech thanking the Club for their invaluable hard work and support, then gave an update in relation to the current engineering situation and plans for the air show season. As mentioned above, they are hoping for a test flight (or flights if necessary) mid-June, allowing a week for the PtF paperwork and with the first show being Waddington. Martin then took questions from the audience - nothing tricky asked! IFR situation ongoing, but they are hopeful of a positive outcome shortly.
Meeting closed after 3 hours, whereupon we broke for 30 min before reconvening with the Volunteers session that lasted around 2h 15min.
Final figures for last year were £160k of donations from the Club to the Trust and an estimated 50,000 volunteer hours...
Cheers,
Gully
