My understanding is that it's the VTTS Club's forum, but hosted on the Trust's website... ;)

Semantics shmantics! :D

Anyway, was broken, now fixed. Soon to have a make-over, during which it will probably be broken (sorry, offline) for a while! :)

That sounds so like the 'them and us' of old :((

From a dim and distant memory TVOC/ The Trust only exist as the club could not legally own and operate the aircraft. To 99.9% of the followers and supporters of XH558 TVOC, The Trust or The Club are one and the same with one aim so yes it is semantics to most of us….. also having just been reading the forum that you say is nothing to do with TVOC then why does it say in big blue letters are the top "Vulcan To The Sky Trust Forum" ;) :p

Yes, but the title of this thread is TVOC Forum. I think DB is right that the forum is nothing to do with the Operating Company.

And there is a prime example of all the confusion :))

Certainly needs to be more CLUBified during the revamp ;)

They might also consider a disclaimer........
VTST, any subsidiary company, Suppliers contractors and any staff, volunteers etc. reserve the right to adapt, modify edit, remove any post that is deemed not to be in line with VTST policy.
The forum is the property of the Vulcan to the Sky Club and is merely hosted as part of this website.
Removal of the forum is always possible in accordance with the foregoing VTST policy.

So post what you like but don't offend anyone as the plug can be pulled.

You really believe that? Exactly how does a forum published as 'Vulcan To The Sky Trust Forum' have nothing to do with TVOC?

Personally I didn't give a rats arse who's name is on the pay slips as the employer for the staff as long as they get paid and do the wonderful job of keeping XH558 up in the air. As I have said before TVOC/ Trust/ Club who cares we all want one and the same thing don't we? The forum stopped working but i don't think anyone expects the 'tvoc' engineers to personally fix it but someone within tvoc/ trust/ club must be responsible!

Still being picky? Rusty told me several times via PM that 'The Vulcan Operating Company' doesn't exist anymore and companies house has shown it as "Dormant" for several years now. Again who cares?

It's not them and us. We are all in this together. tvoc, trust, club.... many words one meaning.

By the way the 'Trust' Forum has just stopped working for me now..... should I start a newly titled thread about it on here :o)

Well you are one of the 0.1% then ;) To the other 99.9% of us TVOC, the Trust and the club all all there to first restore and now maintain and fly XH558. If the forum stops working then should we not ask any one of the aforementioned orginisations as they are all inextricably linked :) The enquiry can then be internally passed to the correct department to fix :ymapplause:

If this topic had been called 'Club forum' I have no doubt that it would have been pointed out that it's a 'Trust forum' and not a club forum :((

Maybe the mods can change the subject to "TVOC/Trust/Club/whatever we have forgotten Forum" :p

If your looking for an argument look elsewhere, I cant be bothered with even discussing such trivia as the names on a box!!
But dont you dare to infer that I ever said or implied a "them and us " attitude by TVOC towards our supporters. X( All of us who work as TVOC realise what brilliant work is done by the Trust, the Club and others to support us and fully appreciate the efforts by all those who want to keep the Vulcan in flight. :ymapplause:

My statement was quite clearly and simply about the use of the term "TVOC Forum". TVOC is the Engineering organisation for the Trust, as I said TVOC Fixes a Vulcan, we dont run any forums and that is a simple fact. We do try and contribute to keep folks informed, but I sometimes wonder why we bother. If you can find more to argue about in that, then you really should get out more! :p

Having read this lot I can't help killing myself laughing at the misconception misinterpritation etc etc .I have to agree with DB "TVOC" as such don't run no forum Only a triangular aircraft and do that very well . :p The Forum as I was put right in my thinking when I belonged to it Is owned by the Club but hosted on the TVOC site .Which I also thought at one time was owned by the club (Site not TVOC) But again was informed otherwise .The site is owned by TVOC or the trust the forum by the Club all maintaned unles it's changed again by Paul Spans Company Personally I don't think it was broke but all being updated or whatever .(will be corrected soon if I got that lot wrong ) .

Not looking for an argument at all ;) What you said just came across the wrong way to me thats all and sounded a little bit like posts of old from some of TVOC. No one suggested (other than a joke) that you or any engineers should fix anything on the forum but you pointed out it's not your job... a fact I think is obvious to us all ;)

You will be pleased to know i'll just go bake to lurking and keep my opinions to myself from now on :o)

The suns out and the weather is lovely so I better get out more like you tell me too :)

Keep up the good work and I'll see you at an airshow sometime later this year :ymapplause:
