Don't worry, we'll put on a recording of the satnav lady so they will feel at home. :)) :))

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

Got mine yesterday at Newark (and a nice coaster to put it on). Nice to see you guys there. Shame you were only there Sunday as it was very quiet. Saturday was much busier.

I agree, but when we planned with NAM to attend the Reunion our main priority was getting '655 serviceable in time for W&W (and '558 aircrew training). To this end, we needed to commit every Saturday to the aircraft because we simply didn't know what we were going to encounter carrying out the largest single engineering task that we've ever done!

Still we had a great day yesterday....and I was able to do some really useful networking with the VRT, Tony Blackman, Steve Austin, Richard Clarke etc. :) Thank you to everyone who bought something from the MaPS merchandise stand, we had the best days' sales for a very long time :) :)

Thanks to Bovril, Sooty and Bluenote for being there with me. :ymapplause:

Oh....and we now know where there is another 7 x 1,000lb bomb carrier 'hanging around' B-)

Believe it or not, the bombs are no problem....a very helpful EOD Wg Cdr at Wittering has offered to get us 1,000lb bombs and fins.....it's the Vulcan bomb carriers that are like hens teeth!!

I have NO DOUBT about the offer of INERT Bombs and tail fins, the EOD Sqn at Wittering is my old unit!

Good luck with the 7 store carrier!

Question is - do I use it, or bung it on the display with the others? :-? I can see I'm gonna have to get another one next time.

I'm a big fan of xm655 and have attended all your W&W events. I think it is absolutely tremendous what you do and on my visits to the market on Sat's i'm amazed and grateful especially in the bitterly cold winter months to see you working on her.

This Sat i'm planning on visiting the market and would love to see some of the crew training although I fully appreciate its not a public event. Please PM me if that would be appropriate as i'd like to time my shopping at the market for the right time!
