It would probably be better than going to the job centre :((

Better news, just got my email to say my RIAT tickets are on their way and I've got a programme for £5 instead of the published price of £9

Sad to see the Mig 21 Cancelled, but there is now an F15 displaying now so that makes up for it a little bit.

So then, back on track with next week and more importantly Thursday..... Who is going to be in the Park and View Car Park at the end of the runway (not usual approach and landing end) The West end of the runway.

And what time do arrivals generally start?

I'm not going now as the dog & cat sitter has let me down and I don't know anyone who likes planes enough that I can go with and the person I was originally going with has disappeared up their own arse. There's no way I am tackling the ride by myself and then camping by myself either. Thoroughly hacked off as I missed Shuttleworth Sunday as well due to being let down at the last minute.... again... again... again...

If you plan your exit right, you should be able to get out at a decent time and back to MK in plenty of time.
Would rather go on my own myself despite the let down, than to not go at all. It's a long wait til next year.

I presume you don't have neighbours trustworthy enough to 'pop in' and feed the critters?
You might enjoy it more going alone and there will always be someone from here lurking around ;)

Yeah, keep off forums where people can have a fake persona, that would be a good start!! ~x(

Yes please Tom you can remove me from the list as this isn't gonna happen, have looked at every possibility now.

The problem with the dog is he is still only young and very strong, he will try to barge out of the front door when you open it and he will take YOU for a walk/drag and act up the entire time, I can't put that on one of my neighbours it's not fair even if I did pay them for that 'pleasure', he also gets a bit 'het up' being in a 1 bedroom place on his own and has a tendancy to chew my stuff if he is left alone for long periods of time, Kennels and a cattery are mega bucks, even house sitting is mega bucks! The other problem is I simply cannot do RIAT in a day and back as it would totally exhaust me. It was gonna shatter me doing it over 3 days anyway but 1 is just asking for trouble, Mayfly is the only person I know of that can probably understand this.

I have spent the last 10 years doing airshows on my own, I've just got to the stage where I am getting sick of going everywhere on my own, I went to Shuttleworth on my own and it sucked having no-one to share the experience with and chat to, eventually I spent the entire evening stood with the gate guard (a human not the Avro) chatting away to him... which was far more pleasant than sitting there on my own talking to myself going "oh that was a great manouver wasn't it Thumper.... yes Thumper" ~x( :))

So anyway, what sucks is I cannot "undo" my holiday at work so I'm gonna be sat here while RIAT is on, think I'll treat myself to a big model to keep me amused ~x(

P.S. If anyone is stuck for camping the guy I cancelled with says he has plenty of room left.... Townsend Farm:

=)) =)) =)) XP I want to be there when Thumper meets you!!!

Yep I understand that Thumps - I was in bed by 7.00 Saturday night, had a lie in yesterday, did nothing all day, went back to bed at lunch time, another early night and doing nothing today too.......still no energy tho' I'm not sleepy tired any more [or grumpy] lol ....just drained.

As I believe I said before - what worked for me was, don't over do it, but I did find that after a while pushing the boundaries a little each time stretched my limits - listen to your body if you need to rest/sleep do so whatever time of day - even last year I had to go back to the car & have a sleep for a couple of hours - not this year tho' \:D/
