Commiserations Ken. :( I cancelled my trip this morning due to a sudden attck of the lurgy. I then found I had to pay full price for my room at the Tithe Barn.. X(

All in all today has been a bit of a whimper rather than a bang.

Watched the 16 take off from Cottesmore (from 22 thresh-hold), but decided it was too cold, wet and miserable to wait, so I went home before they came back. :(

Gutted :(( :(( .

Weather at Coningsby around 2:30 was not too bad either :(( :(( Colour code white at one point.

Did anything actually happen?
BBC Radio 1 news on the way home (4pm) said it did happen, but clearly they didn't come my way if it did.

I believe they only flew at Cottesmore in 4 ships - so am I the only one who got photos of the 16 ship form yesterday then?

The weather at Waddington did have it's moments but on the whole wasn't bad I even took pics of blue sky at the time they cancelled to show how good it was. The Major even took the spitfire up for us :D

mind you it bloody cold!! brrrrrrrr...........

Watched the arrivals on the BBC news channel, they gave it quite a bit of time as the Harriers arrived, done a hover and bow ,it was all quite emotional for me,I'm just so glad I saw one at Biggin last year, didn't know then it was to be the last time :(

:p :p :p :p :p

Good day, shame about the weather!

Great to catch up with some old friends and some of the young officers that went through the OCU when I was there and are now Wing Commanders. :D

Also nice to find out that a mate of mine is currently at NAS Patuxent River in America flying F18s which will lead him in to the JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER! :ymapplause:

A few pictures will follow later! ;)

Thought it was him \:D/
He went around Wickenby then landed at East Kirkby (guess those rumours arn't true ;) :D :)) ) and back to Waddington.

Coningsby was really busy, and we had a gorgeous sunset (I have a bit of video which I'l look at in a bit).
