I don't (...yet).

And I would withhold judgement for the RN, too.

Well, yes, perhaps I have jumped to a conclusion.

I actually hope I have.

I fear not though

Why dont we build a carrier and have some harriers onboard, seems good to me, sale to the Med, anchor offshore, send them over, no fatigue from long flights......oh wait a minute this governemnt said that they didnt envisage any conflicts when they disbanded ours.

It's very easy to jump to conclusions without the benefit of being in the situation, The prime mission of the Osprey was to rescue the aircrew - if you see locals rapidly descending on them in what could be construed as in a threatening way [even if it was euphoria at what the locals would possibly deem as excitement at meeting 'liberators'] I can understand what happened.

I'm not saying it's an excuse, just how it could of occurred!

I raised an eyebrow tho' at the way the locals were clambering all over the missiles :-o

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

Indeed, lots of NASTIES in all those crunched AIM9s and 120s! :-o
