Now, THAT is a remarkable piece of information!

As a fan of Thomas Pynchon's "Gravity's Rainbow",
I LUV to hear anything about the German V-1 and
V-2 efforts.

Even though they rained-down on you guys for a
while, it could have been Far Worse!

What an amazing piece of history!

I watched this last with with great interest, as my job in the RAF was aerial photography............. \:D/

fascinating stuuf indeed,I learned a lot too.......... :D

Why did the RAF have to photograph aerials ? :p
Take only photographs,leave only footprints .

This has always interested me as in May/June 1945 my Dad was detailed to collect "Special Equipment" from Mittelbau-Dora, Niedersachswerfen (where production was moved after the bombing of Peenemunde).

He loaded parts identified by staff officers that were then taken back for reassembly and test firing.

What a CRACKING programme, I watched it over lunchtime, absolutely superb! :ymapplause:

I presume the PRIX Spitfire was from HANGAR 11 at North Weald!

I often wondered that myself, never did find out in my 12 years service why............... :D
