With all the technology on an Airbus, you would think they could fit parking sensors to the wingtips. :))

the A400M also suffered a gearbox failure so cant do a full display

It's a huge a/c but there really is no excuse - they must have looked clearances and if necessary drawn a new centre line' for them and like XP mentioned what or where were the wingmen?

Mind you I remember waiting on the line at Scampton as they were towing out Tucanos the driver and towing supervisor had no idea the a/c had become detached and they left it sitting in the middle of the taxiway - the look on their faces was classic when I simply pointed behind them!! :))

the brakeman wasn't impressed either!! :))

Marvellous, was it a towing arm torque break or was it not attached to the aircraft correctly?

They obviously hadn't attached it correctly - what really made it funny was the towing supervisor had an 'I don't do anything wrong attitude' about him - which really did make me smile!!
