Shall I film one on Saturday evening, when I'm a few sheets to the wind?

The words "Ill Advised" come to mind.......

But, Hey!

We could use a little comic relief on here!

Go ahead and send us a vid, Mister Gazzy........

We'll be happy to see it!

Well, what a day we had!

Never been so busy on the Guppy. I got to clean down and shoot 900 doing her thing but, other than that, I was on the Guppy all day!

We've taken enough money to fund us for, over, a year. That includes getting a NEW RADOME!!

I really couldn't be happier. Thank you to those who ventured over!

The owner of the VC-10 cockpit that was saved from the scrap man, at Brunty, has agreed, in principle, to allow us to house it in the Guppy and make a display out of it. It's 100% complete too.

I know a VC-10 never graced a guppy but it did used to ferry aircraft sections around, so, I asked, he said yes :)

Obviously, not until we've sorted the cargo door out ;)

VC10 within the Guppy - brilliant idea. Plenty of room for more as well :-)

We did!

Bloody wind! ~x( ~x(

Funny thing is though, the gust lock is still up there, in situ, so christ knows how that's happened!

Been cracking on with it, since the open day. Lots of paint gone on, nearly finished the coloured bands on the right side. I've managed to get a shot of the progress, early this morning when the light was a bit more favourable.

So, this is the side that has had no work done on it

And this is t'other side:

We've got to that point now where, because we've done so much, it's hard to contrast it with what it used to look like.

We've had A LOT of positive response since the open day, which is nice, feels like people are noticing :)

15.06.11

Received the overhaul manual for the nose leg (Thank You!!) and have passed it on to our man that can. Hopefully that, long awaited, repair will be started soon.

The weather didn't know what it wanted to do today, so, since I've been on about it for ages, I made a start on the inside.

Before:

And after:

This has been a test, as much as anything. We've got some white paint that's been knocking about for a while. If it all flakes off, we'll know it's useless ;)

We still need stencils :)
