We've had some big thunderstorms in the South East. One bolt must have been right above our house as there was no delay between flash and thunder. Rattled the windows, and the cats are still behind the sofa.

We've had one like that, sounded like a missile hitting the road outside! Seriously, not a rumble of thunder, more like a big bang!

Bum - missed that one. Anyway, I know what Gaz means. Sophie and David (son no.2) both leapt to their feet. According to Phillip (son no.1) the lightning hit the Post Office in town.
