Just a little something............

And This::::::::::::::

I wonder if this is the one I flew on?

Didn't know enough to write down the
tail number back in 1971..........

If I remember correctly, I think the VC-10
still holds the record for a commercial sub-
sonic Trans-Atlantic crossing -- but only in
one direction.

The Convair 990 (a real hot-rod among
airliners) holds the other way distinction......

How appropriate that our two countries share
the record!

Given the apparent 'pause' in the replacement tanker procurement, I suspect their time in the air may be beyond 2014...

I've heard that we are getting 5 into Brunty, between now and the end of 2012, to be turned into confetti

I was told at CWJ's that that plan is on hold - contract not actually cancelled, but deferred...

First of the next batch of VC-10's arriving at Bruntingthorpe for parts recovery, late August.

Yours truly will be one of the guys cutting her up. They've asked if I'd like to volunteer, I jumped at the chance
