North Sea Chopper crash Verdict

Reading this piece makes me wonder if these particular choppers have an inbuilt fault .It looks like they are saying 2 crashed in similar circumstances.That isn't made clear .http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-n ... d-14899114

Seems strange they didn't know what was below them I would need more info to pass comment.
