So far today has been a WIN in what we've had -
At lunchtime a Merlin came over low, there is a Chinook circling Bournemouth, Dad heard a fast jet and the Gnat has just landed (probably) at Bournemouth!
Fly fast jets and/or C130s over my house please, I'm bored!

Having never worked on VC10s, it was explained the easy way of remembering the role of the aircraft was basically C for Cargo/passengers and K for kerosene i.e. tanker.

If I get permission I will sort out some up close and personal photos of XV107 to post and hopefully a selection I have of the last Nimrod R1 and maybe a some of another two aircraft types.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Image

Helen, you need to post a permanent note
on all of your doors which reads:::::::

"Do You Have Your Camera With You, Helen?"

Either that, or connect the Camera to your
Car Keys!!!!

(with one of those clicky things...)

:)) :))
The thing is, I normally ALWAYS have one of my cameras with me, but we'd taken the car in to Toyota to get the wheel sorted after yesterdays adventure, and I didn't want to carry it around with me if we had to wait ages for them to fix it, so I didn't bing one :(( :))

A very low Herc in a tight turn this afternoon.

We live in the narrow corridor between Coningsby and Cranwell MATZ and I think he had just woken up to fact he had been blown slightly of course in the strong winds :))

Coming home from my friends house in Goole this afternoon, we had just come out of the village of Swinefleet, which is near the River Humber, when this fast jet flew over our car no more than 100 feet, it was VERY low and VERY fast. It was so fast in fact that I haven't got a clue what it was. We very nearly ended up in the ditch.
If I had to make a guess I'd say Typhoon, although mum swears it only had one engine rather than 2 if you know what I mean.

SURELY your mother should have been concentrating upon avoiding the ditch, NOT spotting! :-o

Standard grey lol =)) =)) .

It definitely wasn't a Hawk, and it wasn't a tornado either for that matter. It was Typhoon sized and shape, but mum reckons it wasn't.
I bearly saw it as I was reading my Autosport mag at the time :))
Neither of us saw any sqn markings.

So there really isn't much hope of identifying it then! :-o

If you know when and where you saw it ask on the F.C. forum, they will know! ;)
