Cancelled last Friday due to the weather. Due in on Tuesday

I'll find out tomorrow and report back. Don't know where they'd put them atm. 2x 737 2x C130 and a VC-10 already down there. Not much room left!

Nothing to do with the Walton's. An external company has the contract to scrap (I think) the entire fleet. They just happen to be based at brunty.

What I understand is, the last two to come here, one will be saved as a runner for the CWJ collection. The other will be disassembled to provide, almost, an entire airframe's worth of spares to support the running one

One would hope that the ones that get
there BEFORE the last two would ALSO
be scoured for spares -- perhaps by some
volunteers -- so that there would be more
for future use......

Some things are just irreplaceable!

The fleet is being progressively scrapped and all useful equipment is being salvaged to keep the remaining flyers flying and the valuable metals are being scrapped for profit!

I haven't given up that there will be
at least one flying (a little) once the
dust has settled.......

I still think, though, that a second
pass might be done to make SURE
all the good stuff is kept and stored
properly!
