At 16:32 we were blessed with a Coningsby(?) Tornado(?) who arrived from the south at 500feet and performed a full burner climb up to 4000feet and departed to the north, superb spectacle! :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Amended because I can NOW spell TORNADO!

Postby Aceyone » Mon Dec 12, 2011 4:15 pm

Just saw an Apache circling Bromley Kent about 1500ft,very unusual for this locality ,stayed for around 5min then off, couldn't see which direction ! :-o

Just had a thought, maybe he was doing his Christmas chopping ( groan )

Er, yes ,I was a bit excited and jumped in to the first thread I saw :ymblushing: thing is apart from when Biggin Hill used to hold the Airshow, when we would get most performers flying over the house doing circuits,it's rare to see military stuff here ,probably cos we are under the point where Heathrow traffic turn on finals, although we do get the occasional Chinook !

Just had a Huey go over Bicester heading north west . Not sure if its the one based up north [Blackpool ?] as I thought that one is in US Army makings , this one was bright blue and white [unless its just received a repaint] .

Stepped outside the house this morning and heard a jet, so I looked around and saw it was a VC-10 with lots of smoke behind it!
