Aviodrome in Holland Closed:::::::::::

Postby Dan4th » Sun Dec 25, 2011 12:25 pm

This just showed-up on Round_Engine's website:

http://www.conniesurvivors.com/1-connie_news.htm#DEC24

I am praying that Constellation winds up in
Good Hands!!!!!!!!!!

The irony here is that the Aviodrome B.O.D. is
stacked with members from KLM/Air France X(

Where are they with the needed support??????????

All of the love, work, MONEY that has
gone into that aircraft........

Then the "Board" says no flying......

And now THIS!!!!!!!!!

People who devoted their lives to that
Connie were kicked out of the facility!

Doesn't sound very Dutch to me.....

A damned shame, let's hope there is a favourable outcome! :-o

Terrible news for all involved :( Like Dave, I can only hope for something positive to come out of such a massive negative.

Well, you can't worry too much about
something you can't control.........

BUT I CAN wish for a successful bidder
who will put her up in the air where
she belongs!

You do know, however, she was headed
to the UK for an airshow when KLM/Air
France grounded her, right?

All permits obtained, all insurance paid.

Certified aircrew and fuel tanks filled.

Even today I can't imagine what it was
they were thinking!!!!!!!
