I could see him (NATO 02 unless I heard him wrong) doing the circuits from Lincoln .

2 jets (possibly hawks) passed over with contrails so it's must have been odd atmospherics as I haven't seen them do that very often.


Also took this this morning



It's terrible quality because it's my other camera and it just wouldn't focus.

Can anyone shed any light??

There are no chimneys over there and it's not the Reds.

There are no chimneys over there and it's not the Reds.

The Tuccanos (RAF Linton) left vapour trails yesterday afternoon over Aldwark (Never a camera when you need one) whilst performing some aerobatic moves (either that or the pilot was crap).

they don't usually do that on a nice clear sunny day.

Helen, I would suggest that those contrails were caused by three Typhoons making rapid climbs to altitude through moist air!

Either that or someone launched three anti-aircraft missiles by mistake!

The tyhoons were on a training exercise where the new boy shot at them with anti-aircraft missiles so they made a rapid climb to altitude

Two Army Merlins are at Bootham Hospital York.

One bringing someone in, the other just hovers there (Why do they always come in in twos?)

they are quite often in and out.

they will be from Queen Elizabeth Barracks
