Having made way for a car park... those that have survived end up here...

The bleak prospect of 5 years outdoors in the elements with zilch protection X( . I am going there to see for myself and ask a few Q's. ( I may be posting in the Soapbox thread before long !!!)
Look Mummy.. there's an aeroplane up in the sky.....

despite the nature of the new location, thank goodness they've been saved from the gas-axe :)

interesting what the Trustee Richard Edwards said when interviewed - inspiring the young to get into engineering...................

get a 558 banner up there ASAP me thinks! ;)

I paid a fleeting drive by/around the new site today - as weather was crap.

From what I saw it looks pretty diabolical. The statics appear to be parked/displayed on grass in two rows. Whole area approx 200yds long by 50yds wide. The fencing (temporary I hope) appears to be that white flappy sheeting you see on scaffolding. A single gate entry (muddy already) with a portakabin and a couple of Portaloos. No sign of the Vulcan cockpit.. if it's there - it's sitting on the ground !

I will revisit next weekend and go inside. Will post pics in due course. All in all... it looks very sorry for itself. :(
