VC10 for Brunty?

Postby Giles » Mon Jun 11, 2012 12:27 am

Hi All
Was just wondering if anyone knew if the RAF were feeling generous enough to hand over one of their retiring VC10's to the excellent collection at Bruntingthorpe?
The ones I've seen there only had a one way journey so it would be a great opportunity to keep one in a taxiable example like the victor & nimrod etc. instead of being next years coke cans!

The last one in (Whenever that may be) is being kept as a runner, along with, as many spare parts as we can gather from the one before that.

That's the last I heard anyway

Just hide the one before that behind a hangar somewhere, they will never notice....

Not a bad idea, it's up to the scrap man though, I'm afraid. Depends what he'll let us salvage
