Even if they do find them ( which is looking doubtful ) I wouldn't expect them to be much cop now anyway but I would be happy to be proved wrong on both counts !

Am I the only one amused by the photo the BBC used at the bottom?
Of all the Spitfires they could find to describe the 'Elliptical wing" they go and use a photo of a clipped wing one


I can see anything that is found being in a similar state to that crate they found not long ago, full of water.
Did anything come of that, I see it just mentions it, but not what was inside (if anything).

I hope he does find something, 17 years is a long time for it to come to nothing.

Anyone understand what's going on its all a bit misty found a crate can't see if its full or not next thing no spitfires in that location even tho they haven't pumped the water out all very odd

They had the bloke on yesterday who said they had been there for 12 days but had only been allowed to dig for 2 of those and then for only 3 hrs a day! All a bit of a mystery really.
