are there any radio apps out there for Android phones that can reach the airband wavelengths.... ;)

Try typing "airband radio android app" into Google ~ there is lots of stuff available.

XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

had a look on google play, but could not find anything that said it could get airbands, will try a google search though
