Be careful UKAR is already in VTTS forum bad books we don't want this forum being back in the naughty corner, also as the Vulcan engineers were the only personnel who knew anything about Vulcan's (this from previous conversations on a couple of forums, when the rest of us ex Vulcan people questioned various information), so I assume that they will also end up being the only Canberra experts as well going forward, but hey ho good luck to them.

I see that there are already some that are proudly claiming to have forked out £350 for the Gold level.

Awaiting the inbound slagging off for deciding to add my opinion again, do I also never learn.

We are all entitled to our opinions and those opinions do NOT have to toe a given party line just to keep someone somewhere, who thinks its all wonderful, happy.

Agreed, that is why I thought I would add my thoughts more so as I find the comments from VTTS forum members amusing and have always thought some people took their position/perceived importance far to seriously to the extent of trying to flame/over talk someone who does not share the same outlook on all things the VSOG (Vulcan Stuck on Ground)/CTTS (Canberra to the Skys) aficionados do/are.

And a Canberra for Gods sake ... why not get behind and support Lancaster NX611 in its return to flight dreams - or Shackleton WR963 with its struggles to get airborne both of which would draw air show crowds (IMHO) much more than a Canberra ever will.... I bet most of the people who go to air shows wouldn't know what a Canberra was ... I despair

Canberra WK163 disassembly continues on schedule.
Transport to Doncaster is only weeks away, but funding to cover these costs is still needed.

So they have committed money they haven't got, AGAIN.

And as you probably know, they will get what they want as I still see a large following who will give them money at the drop of the hat, plus there will be the last minute anonymous donater who saves the day at the very last moment, but good luck to them and their core supporters. I wonder if the only Vulcan engineers will now be the only Canberra engineers as well

And the latest missive from sunny Donny reads ~

Normally, we would wait until we had raised the cash before starting work, but we decided it was important to invest some of the Trust's cash in completing the move as soon as possible. Further costs will be incurred when we transport the large spares holding from Coventry. Viewing the WK163 project in isolation, our fundraising has not kept pace with the short-term expenditure we believed was necessary; the project is currently approximately £30,000 in deficit.
