Share your FSX Goodies

Hello Guys an Gals
Being a very keen simmer over the years i have had a few versions of Microsoft flight Sim and currently have FSX. How about sharing some recommendations of good aircraft (free hopefully, Not Payware.) scenery, addons etc, what would be your recommendations.
Also which websites do you use, im looking to broaden my world on FSX, havent had the time lately to do much on it and would like to get some good downloads.
Are there any TRULY good B1b's out there, (except for that bloody payware one) that DONT turn like an aircraft carrier.
And oh ye, does anyone else get black squares as a smoke animation and if so, did you manage to resolve it, could you give me any advice.

Now i KNOW i have asked many questions here and ive only just walked in the door, but i just KNOW you guys are up to the challenge, any info help will be gratefully recieved.

I have the lanc but it just nose dives can't control it at all - maybe I need to delete it & install again ?

I have the same problem, and the sound doesn't work either.

the Lanc is a complete pig to get off the ground - you need loads of trim-up as you roll and pull back on the stick. once (eventually) airborne, you need to keep a lot of pressure on the stick until about 200knts, when she's easy to trim and lovely to fly

the sound - the separate sound files need to be unzipped and added to the sound folder of the Lanc - replacing the original contents

I think its more than that SM if I use full trim I can just keep her airbourne but as soon as I change my view ie F12 then back to cockpit view I lose control again, if I start on the ground there is no way she will take off whatever speed, I thought it was me but DT didn't do much better & there is very limited elevator 'effect' although they look to move as they should

if DT can't get her to fly, so theres no way I can

This is what my dad (I) use. They make them so the cockpits arn't that detailed however $5 signed us up forever (unlimeted use) although I think you have to pay monthly now (I'm not sure though).

well DT tried & if he can't fly it as I said before I've no hope - I'll have to reinstall it as I wonder if it was corrupt it seems as thought the C of G is all to pot

I tried the Lanc and the whole plane was doing a bouncing bomb. As you say Pam, the elevators had full range of movement, but didn't seem to do anything. I tried the mossie too, but then realised it was for combat FS so that didn't work either.

thats whats confusing though, SM & Wedgy have the same version of the lanc & on FSX & although they say she a bit of a pig they can fly her..........................

From my experience of AEF and fs the fs is much harder maybe SM and Wedgy spend a fair amount of time on it and practice did make perfect.....

My only tip (and I dont have any finess when it comes to FSX) is ... sit on the runway, max your trim, get to the piano keys at the end of the runway and pull up .... hard!

How many times did it take you to work that out?

i put the Lanc on every long runway i could think of and she still didn't lift off - until i discovered the use of trim whilst pulling fully back on the stick.

man many crashes before i got the hang of it
