I reckon you need a real photo, Bovril. It's a fantastic idea and great image, but the cockpit glass doesn't look quite right and the TFR pod is missing.

And yes, I'd buy one!

Well we will be at Wellesbourne on sunday (unusual i know)

the airfield is having an open day

from their website :

"Wellesbourne Airfield will be holding an open day on Sunday 10th May from 10:00am until 16:00. The Vulcan will be open as well as the Museum. The Control Tower will be open for escorted tours and the Fire Vehicles will be on show. Pleasure Flights will be available with Avon Air Centre and Heli Air. This is an informal event with no extra aircraft or flying displays and is aimed at allowing local residents a behind the scenes look at their local airfield."

so if you want to see inside a vulcan for yourself and have some change for a donation we will be pleased to see you and show you around

you're right Cluny - she's looking fab!

i think it's incredible that Bovril & Co have managed to keep her looking SO good, and very much alive - and yet she's been stood outside at Wellesbourne for 25 years! :-o

:ymapplause: well done chaps!

Yep - looks fabulous: thanks for posting, Cluny!

No doubt that '655 is the most photogenic of the remaining Vulcans, just a beautifully preserved aircraft.

i have always thought that she looks 'ready for take off' much more so even than 558 i think that the paint job is the thing that makes her look so good take 607 for instance all busted up but looks great!

Hi all.

No its not the Rover, its a air start trolley we are building. The Rover is very much in the starboard wing or at least it was last Saturday.XM655 is due to come alive this weekend with an EGR.Anybody wishing to take a look please park in the Saturday market site and watch from there.

Regards.

crew chief.

Hi Cluny.

No real timetable, dependent on the weather aswell so you might be lucky.
