Gosh! Suppose it can happen though, even with the stringent medicals pilots need.

Evidently 61 year-old Captain died of a heart attack and second officer and another
Captain dead-heading back to the states brought it into Newark....

astonishing but very sad - just goes to show that the seemingly impossible is in fact possible!

i guess if Airbus or Boeing ever have any ideas of designing an a/c operable by one pilot, they should think again!
