Wellesbourne 21st June

Postby Mayfly » Sun Jun 21, 2009 7:23 pm

A brill day thanks to Wedgy & SM for your company & good to see everyone else who was there

655 with 558 not a good pic unfortunately :(

for those who know me you will realise I was not sure what my reaction to seeing 558 would & although I was emotional knowing DT will never fly her again she did once again melt my heart - so I now need to catch up on the last 2 weeks of vids & pics :)

ROFL!

Thanks to everyone for a brilliant day, cannot believe my eyes from today... two Vulcans under power at the same time in the same place, through the same lens; its an awesome sight to behold. The wing waggle was a beautiful touch and the whole thing will stay in my mind for a long long time to come. Here are the photos my Dad took:

An excellent day on the VTSC stand today. MaPS 655 always put on a great event - thank you to everyone involved on their side.

Here are a few of my piccies:

Joined MaPS today. Their support has been and continues to be invaluable in aiding 558's crew, and MaPS deserve every success in continuing to maintain and operate what I firmly consider the country's best looking Vulcan.

Thanks for looking,

Gully

PS. I hate the bulk uploader on Photobucket as it degrades the images, but it's too late to be bothered otherwise!!

Hi all.

Many thanks to all those who came and supported us it was great to see you all there.
I think the sound of eight Rolls Royce olympus running together is a sound that i'll never forget and the sight of 558 over her younger sister (655) will stay with me for a long time.
Once again thanks for the support and see you next year.

Regards.

Let's say Bristol Olympus, please. RR may have last overhaulled them, but they also caused us a a load of stress we didn't need this weekend.
Sooty

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.
