Conc sim

Postby Mags » Mon Aug 24, 2009 7:35 pm

I'm (hopefully) going for a shot on the (real) Concorde simulator at Brooklands Museum on Saturday :p :p yummy!

Has anybody on here been on it?

Will I post a "tripe report" next week (of how I crashed)? :))

No not hurt - glider got a sore bum, lots of grass skid marks and the paint rubbed off. I wasn't flavour of the month and had a paint job to do :((

Went on the Concorde Sim when it was at Heathrow in the early 80's. Was supposed to be on the 747 Sim but it broke and rather than waste any time we got to play of an hour :D

Here's the sim at Brooklands. OK I'm not a flight simer, but was seriously impressed. It's almost all up and running - one or two bugs apparently to be ironed out but not much. When we first went in for a look, the guys who were working on it had gone for lunch and it seemed to be off for a flight by itself :)) :)) - knew she was alive!! ;)
