The Lyneham Question::::::::::::

Postby Dan4th » Sat Oct 03, 2009 9:14 pm

So, does it appear that she'll be residing at
Lyneham over the winter? If so, what's the
story with public access? It would be a shame
to lose the income stream from regular
viewings and the purchase of Vulcan Items.....

If it IS a Secure Facility, one would think there
might be the possibility of a once-a-month
day for people to visit, leaving their cars near
a gate, clearing security, and then busing to
her hangar. Entrance fee would need to reflect
the added cost of doing this. Also, if this
required the presence of RAF personnel, then
perhaps some would be willing to volunteer.

Doesn't sound like TOO much of a logistical
nightmare......

Thoughts?

Dan4th

I just wanted to add: Good for Vulcan, good PR
both for RAF and Lyneham itself....

Don't know about you guys but I miss the Vulcams :( :( I spent hours staring at either a stationary Vulcan or an empty space - but it made you feel sort of close to it - and part of it :p :D

The first flight day was amazing - I was glued to those jerky cam shots all day - shame they've gone. :(

Vulcams were great, gave me the chance to send a special message all the way to Murkin land! :-o

The Vid Itself or a link to it should be on
every aviation site in the UK and splashed
across YouTube for ALL to see!

Did anyone on here know about it? How long
since it was made?
