Thanks Mackrick.
If I remember correctly - the 'chute' needs to be deployed after 'x' amount of flights/landings. (On a side note.. How much does it cost to have it re-packed... and who does it ?)

Gully wrote:Definitely streamed at Brize at the end of the test flight on June 12th - I have a photo somewhere!
Believe that was the only stream: there was supposed to be one mid-way through the season based on packed time, but I seem to recall an inspection being undertaken instead to save on the packing cost?

The chute is removed and re-packed every 20 hours or 28 days, which ever comes first.
If the company that repacks the chute gets it in a nice neat bag it is a lot easier for them to repack it than if they get a huge bundle of white stuff.
The chute is also a lot more likely to get damaged if it is streamed.
There is a finite amount of time the Chute can be streamed, I think it's only 30 times.
The chutes we use are all ex- Victor chute which have been adapted for us.
So there are NO original Vulcan chutes available ? (Blimey)

Will the one nicked from Brunty's Victor be returned?
(After all.... she's not supposed to get airborne, accidental or not)

Bubbles wrote:According to sources it was neither! it was taken along with brake parts which are common to both.
