"No Claims Bonus" - 1960's Vulcan film

Here's a little video you might like!

An early 60's RAF video explaining the Mutually Assured Destruction principle, and exactly what the V Force of the time was there for!

You have to much time on your hands Ron, fancy fixing a GUppy?

IS that 558 being fired up?

You must be having a laugh mate!! I've been meaning to put these on for months!!

It looks like XH556 being fired up there, but I've got a few more vids which likely include 558, it's just getting the time to chop them up, convert them, upload them....etc!!! :-o Nightmare!!!

Flipflopman

EDIT:

Mags,

It was originally released in 1961, but you wouldn't have seen it on TV anyhow. It was one of the myriad of RAF training films that the RAF make, but never get released to the general public. A very young Flipflopman stars in one or two, one for Harrier maintenance and the importance of keeping hold of your tools, and another for wiring maintenance and the dangers of wearing your watch whilst pressing against wiring looms!! Sadly I've not seen either for a very long time!!! :D

Typical 1960s style (I'll let you off the apostrophe under the 'House Style' get out :D :p)

Like the comment - "Keeping fit ....etc" whilst they are seen eating a dubious looking fry up - and then smoking :D

Questions from video ...

1) What is it the crew are all giving to the young ginger headed lad as they leave - looks like they're tipping him :D but I can see its some kind of tag ??

2) When crewing up there are 5 - I always thought the crew was 4 - what did the 5th do?

they looked like their dog tags to me

Pilot, co-pliot, AEO, Nav Radar [normal nav [if any of them are normal] :)) ], Nav Plotter - he plotted the bombs etc

Thanks FFM I've never seen that before.

1, I believe they were their tokens that accounted for the Flying Clothing they were wearing.

2, The IMPORTANT job.

S.F. watch the film again, there was SALAD on the plates! :p

So there was .... Of course everyone always has HP sauce and Tomato sauce with salad - I should have guessed :D :D
And it still LOOKS like a dubious fryup anyway :p :p :)) :))

I've known Several people over the years who
were Dubious Fryups. Avoid them when you can
