I am indeed! Started 25th Aug, which goes some way to explain my lack of posting over the past few weeks! Particularly with a 1hr 20min journey in the morning and 1hr at night... Mind you, it was rather welcome when my bank account had wages deposited into it at the end of Sep! First time it had increased in value since end 2008.

Without a fiancially secure future I don't think we can expect any thing other than a lot of 'ifs'

I like Mikes inteviews he never appears to be anything other than open & honest & does talk about other aspects that other managers never touch on..

I agree. His answers are always transparent and don't pull any punches. The 8 years statement, possibly more if RR are happy, is one example of this, as is the comment that they overflew Woodford in case it was their last flight. Tells it like it is without management gloss / spin. Personally, I think the whole VTS business would benefit from Mike having a higher and more public profile.

Gully I have known Mike for many years - what you see is what you get - he would be breath of fresh air in a higer profile role - and I don't think he's ever heard the word 'spin'.... :p
