That black and yellow jig used to pick
up and carry the u/c assembly has got
to be Vulcan-specific. Did it exist already
or has it been recently fabricated for
this purpose? Looks brand new!

pretty sure it's what was used during restoration. probably part of the 600 tons of stuff that David Walton bought!

Thanks to Mackrick for putting my pic's on the site. It was great fun and enjoyment towing XH558 into C2 hangar. It was a good walk but Air Traffic got upset because we forgot about the clearance to move. The jacking up reminded me of the days in base hangar doing the same to that other icon the VC10. Sorry to Ray for blinding him with the flash at the wrong moment. It really was a great day. The tug driver did it one go. that was impressive..
