My dad has a new pc and im going to install fsx on it so i can fly with my brother. I will need to get a joystick as the other one is my dads what should I get - im running vista?

Wedgy, Mayfly and I all use the Saitek Cyborg Evo...



it has some excellent reviews, particularly regarding value for money. it is a little bit plastic-ey but for £20-25 is good for the price. we are all happy with it anyway.

there is a wireless, battery-powered one, but i know that Mayfly had dreadful trouble with hers and sent it back in exchange for a normal wired one.

lots of function switches on it and very nice to use Tom.com - that's the one I'd EASILY recommend!

others might have other suggestions though

Tom there are lots of better ones of which many are expensive - you need to decide how much you will use it & judge what is value for money -

I did buy the wireless Evo - it has a battery saving design but it kept hibernating on me whilst in use , I trawled the forums looking for peeps with the same problem but didn't find any so in fairness I believe it was just a one off (probably assembled on a Friday)

at £35 its expensive but for £15 (what i paid) it's ok, but am going to have to get one with rudder control on and a pov head.

I have used an old sidewinder force feeback one off ebay with an usb adaptor and it works fine in fs9 windows 7
