doesn't it just reinforce what an advanced machine the Vulcan was - all those moustached chaps wouldn't have looked out of place clambering into Lancs or Mozzies :ymapplause:

Bloody Marvellous!

A bit before my time (I arrived at Waddington in 1970 when all the a/c were B2s) but the airfield buildings - hangars, control tower, guardroom, SHQ and ops block are all very familiar - rather more familiar the the current Waddington. Good to hear the Runway refered to 03/21 - Magnetic deviation has now changed that to 02/20.

I 'worked' on XA 500 on my Mechs course at Cosford in spring '68
