Lovely, I wonder what the guy holding the video camera expected whilst standing on the end of the runway?

In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

Just the fuel cost for doing that little exercise
would probably be enough to operate the Vulcan
for ten-plus years......

I have a real love-hate relationship with the Buff.
Think it has something to do with that bicycle
landing gear.

Mighty impressive, though, and not bad for a
50-plus year old aircraft that's older than any of
the crews that fly her!

Love the A10 vid. I actually have all that on video at home, they did a whole night of RIAT on WIngs (how I miss that channel). Now all I need to do is get the DVD recorder fixed so I can copy all the old vids to DVD.

Saw this on t'other forum earlier. Anyone else remember the TV series, Classic Aircraft with John Peel. Fantastic series and I even bought the video, too bad they missed off half of the stuff that I really wanted to see on it. But at least they kept on the Martin Mars Flying boat and they old crewman sat in a boat in front of the plane as it took off. Priceless.
