On the 1 seat 2 seat debate, I've 2 or 3 books that dismiss the 1 seat theory, the most compelling of which is Tony Blackman's 'Vulcan Test Pilot', and if anyone should know, it's him!

And don't forget that the specification against which all the V-bombers were ordered required a 2 pilot, 3 rear crew arrangement.

These are very good Mackrick - sending them all to a mate who's making a radio controlled electric powered model XH558 and he is most impressed as its giving him access to pictures from angles and close ups we - the public - could never hope to get :p ;)

Oh yes you could!

We often get model makers at Wellesbourne taking photos and measurements of obscure details of XM655. You are always welcome any Saturday, and you can have pretty well all the access you need.

If you ask nicely, we will even explain what you need to change to "de-tune" your model into a mere 200 series Vulcan. :p
