Sorry if this has been discussed before but I always thought that XH558 was the first B2 but the first serial number B2 was XH533 was this a converted B1 or am I totaly barking up the wrong tree
I believe that XH558 was the first B2 in service. Its production number was 42. XH533 had the production number 31, which was the lowest number assigned to any B2, it was just that it came into service after '558!
558 holds the record for the longest serving B2........1st in, last out!!
